Why Collagen?
Collagen is the main protein in
the organic structure of conjunctive tissue and the organic
substance of bones. Its function is to give the skin
flexibility, tone and elasticity, as well as to moisturize
and stimulate it.
It is found in the dermis and its function is to store and
release water to maintain the optimum texture level and for
the constant renewal of cells, thus preventing wrinkles and
stretch marks from forming.
Collagen is the main protein in the skin. It represents
60% of the total skin content and 30% of all the organic
matter in the skin.
When you are first born, your collagen is soluble (young)
and has all its original properties (it has a notable
capacity to retain water), but as time goes by
(approximately at age 25), your collagen becomes thicker
and less soluble, which means it loses all its ability to
keep the skin hydrated and the first signs of ageing begin
to appear: wrinkles, blemishes, loose, sagging skin, etc.
ZENITH to combat aging
All our products contain high concentrations of collagen
and other active ingredients that reinforce the functions
of the skin and provide optimum dermal action. And the
active ingredients help prevent and delay aging.
The Zenith laboratories have developed their own method to ensure gradual, active penetration of ingredients by breaking down molecules at stable temperatures. The collagen used is a unique product of marine origin (shark cartilage). Its pH of between 4.9 and 5.3 and the fact that it is not processed at temperatures above 35ºC ensure it can easily penetrate into the deepest layers of the skin.
